How do I Enter?
Enter online by following the Registration link on the 'Registration Page' or download our registration form and post it back to the address supplied on the form. -
Do I have to run for a charity to get a race number?
No, you are not required to run for a charity to gain a race number. -
Do I need a qualifying time to run?
No, you do not need a qualifying time to run. -
What is the entry fee for the race?
The entry fee for Bay Run is EUR 40 prior to December 31st after which time it will increase to EUR 50. See details on the Registration Page. -
What happens when I enter online?
Your credit card details will be taken and debited for the entry fee amount. You will receive an email detailing acceptance confirmation and your race number along with other details. -

Where is the start of the race?
The start of the race is in Glengarriff Village, County Cork. -
Where can I leave my baggage?
All race participants will be provided with a bag to store their belongings in during the race. Each bag will be numbered with the participants race number, collected and transported for them to the finish line for collection. For ease of collection, the bags will be stored in numeric sequential order at the finish line. -
Should I wear the race number on the front or back?
Wear your number on the front. -
What will the course be marked in?
The route will be marked with Mile Signs and marked at 1 Mile intervals from start to finish. -
What is the route for the race?

What is provided at the drink station?
Pure clear still water in plastic cups are provided at the Water Stations. -
Where do I pick up my race number (Race Pack)?
Race numbers can be picked up the night before at the Maritime Hotel between 6.30 and 8.30 or else the morning of Bay Run at the information desk. The Race Pack will contain your running numbers, clips and all required race information. -
What time will I be given for the race?
Your race number and official time will be noted at the Finish Line and posted on our website after the race if you entered your mobile number you will also receive a text with your official time. -
What does my entry fee cover?
The EUR 50 entry fee covers;
- Race entry
- Bus transfers to and from Glengarriff and Bantry
- Water and aid stations every three miles
- Finishers T shirt and medal
- Food & Drinks at the Finish Line
- Massage Tent at the Finish Line
- ChampionChip timing chip
- Prize money and other associated costs.
