MILES 4-9
Continuing along the castle straight this is done on a slight incline.
Worth noting at approximately the 5 mile point in the townland of Ard na Trush, you will see some of the most amazing and spectacular scenery in the world. You will have a full view of Bantry Bay with Glengarriff now firmly behind you.
At Mile 6, there will again be a water station. Again this is a continuous flat section of road until you face 0.4 of a mile of downhill which brings you down almost to sea-level. (No time for a swim)
You will continue running at almost sea-level for the next 1.3 miles which will bring you the 9 mile marker and for the last water station mark before the finish line leg.
